Hidilyn Diaz gets emotional as she graduates from college: “Inabot din ng 16 years”

Hidilyn Diaz happily shared with her social media followers her latest achievement.

The Filipino Olympic gold medalist has recently earned her bachelor’s degree from De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde.

She finished Business Administration major in Management and marched alongside her fellow graduates at the PICC Plenary Hall in Pasay City.

Hidilyn then uploaded lovely photos from the graduation ceremony.

“Nakakaiyak din pala,” she expressed in the caption.

“Not an ordinary day. Inabot din ng 16 years, nagshift ng courses, nagtransfer ng school, nagLOA dahil ang hirap pagsabayin ang pagwe-weightlifting at pag-aaral,” Hidilyn narrated.

She went on expressed disbelief that she has finally finished her education.

“Dreaming of graduating from college and earning a degree while preparing for the Olympics. Hindi ko akalain na magagawa ko, after sleepless nights and tiring days from training while attending school at De La Salle - College of St. Benilde. Posible pala.”

She also encouragingly noted, “Kung nakaya ko, kaya ng mga student-athletes, at mga bata at sa lahat na gusto makapagtapos, age doesn’t matter, mahirap pero super worth it.”

“I never imagined reaching this point. But here I stand,” the weightlifter added.
