PWD na negosyante, nabiktima ng 'rent-tangay' modus, 2 niyang SUV, nawawala

A PWD businessman from Mangaldan, Pangasinan, fell victim to a scam known as "rent-tangay."

He shared that he met his client from La Union in 2023, and at first, she paid on time.

Their business relationship continued in October 2024, and a month later, the woman returned with two others who also rented a car.

But by December 2024, payments stopped, prompting him to ask for his vehicles back; that’s when he discovered his SUVs had already been pawned in San Fernando, La Union.

In a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon, the tracking devices (GPS) of the vehicles were already removed. Additionally, the victim could no longer contact the culprits who took his cars.

According to the police, they will be investigating the case and coordinating with the Highway Patrol Group.
