The Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center recently conducted a study in New York City in which it found that out of 18 rectal cancer patients who took the same medicine, all 18 had their cancer completely vanished.
The lead author of the paper that was published in the New England Journal of Medicine, Dr. Louis A. Diaz Jr., stated that this was a first in the history of cancer, and it’s a breakthrough discovery.
The small trial was sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline, but the results are very promising, and they open up a whole new world of possibilities. Believe it or not, every single patient is currently in total remission, and some of the participants that were included were moved to tears when they heard the news.

“It’s incredibly rewarding to get these happy tears and happy emails from the patients in this study who finish treatment and realize, ‘oh my god, I get to keep all normal body functions that I feared I might lose to radiation or surgery.” @AndreaCercek #ASCO22 @NEJM @ASCO (2/3) pic.twitter.com/ElFHDbsjBO

Dr. Diaz claims that a similar study where the treatment completely obliterated cancer in every patient exists.
“I believe this is the first time this has happened in the history of cancer.”
According to Dr. Alan P. Venook, a colorectal cancer specialst at the University of California, added that a complete remission in every single patient is ‘unheard of’.
What’s even more important is that none of the patients had significant complications as a result of the treatment.
“There were a lot of happy tears.”
It was a small trial, just 18 rectal cancer patients, every one of whom took the same drug.
But the results were astonishing. The cancer vanished in every single patient. https://t.co/mYnlfUkKAs
