OB-GYN Shares Rare Video Of Newborn Baby In An Intact Amniotic Sac

Childbirth is magical, and anyone who has experienced or attended one can confirm it. I mean, you literally witness a brand new human making an entrance into the world.

Although it works the same, each childbirth is unique and very special in its own way. However, some births are truly something else.

You see, in most cases, the protective amniotic sac that holds the baby and the amniotic fluid it ‘breathes’ in the womb breaks at some point in the labor.

However, there are the so-called en caul births, in which the baby is born inside an intact amniotic sac. They occur once in 80,000, and they’re sometimes even called a ‘mermaid birth’ or ‘veiled birth’.

They’re widely seen as a sign of good luck for both the baby and the parents, and due to their rarity, you can almost never see one – even on the Internet.

Dr. Ignacio Perez Tomasone is an OB-GYN from Argentina who recently shared a video of an en caul birth. The doctor regularly shares childbirth videos on Instagram, but this one gained so much popularity due to its rarity.

The video has since been viewed more than 3 million times, and viewers have deemed it ‘beautiful’, ‘magnificent’, and ‘incredible’.

We hope you enjoyed the video as much as we did!
